Wellbeing Model

Theory

Drawing on the work of Nobel Prize winning economist, Amartya Sen, and the work of the founders of Positive Psychology, Martin Seligman and Ed Diener, Flourish uses the Wellbeing Model that I developed for my doctoral research project.

This eudaimonic model is grounded in an understanding of the importance of self-actualization underpinned by a research-based recognition of the central importance of meaning for personal wellbeing.

My model uses three interconnected domains for analysis:

Material Security

Relationship and

Engagement
